Organism Adaption
Some organisms that liv in a taiga are plants, like trees, and animals, like wolves and deer.
Bears, for example, go into hibernation during the winter. They do that, because otherwise they will not be able to survive in the cold with food sources. Many animals lower on the food web( mice, rabbits, etc.) change their fur color throughout the year to match their surroundings. Trees like the Siberian spruce tree might have been a shorter tree until they adapted to become taller than other competetors to get the very little sunlight that might shine, especially in the winter.

Biotic and Abiotic Factors
3 Biotic Factors for the Taiga Biome Are:
- wolves
- trees
- ermines
- rain
- temperature
- soil
Human Interference in the Taiga
The humans are impacting the taiga in several main ways. A big impact by humans are the death and killing of deer. Man is hunting the animals of the taiga especially the deer. They are hurting the population of deer by using them as deer meat, hunting them, and also running them out towards the road. They are also hunting other animals for food and skin. Some animals that are hunted for food are fish and buffalo. If we do not control hunting then the population of these animals such as the deer and buffalo will decrease. Also humans deforest the trees and if this continues to happen without replanting it will greatly affect the taiga.
Another way humans impact the taiga is with pollution. Acid rain weakens the trees in the taiga. The weakened trees are then killed by bugs or disease. Acid rain is caused by pollution from factories. Also global warming caused by humans is affecting the taiga. Scientists believe the climate will increase in temperature 15 to 50 percent faster over the next century. The animals in the taiga will not be able to keep up with these changes. The climate zones will change. Climatologist worry that the boreal forest covering the Taiga could be reduced by 50 - 90%.
